  1. The Africa Mathematics Project invites applications for grants

The Africa Mathematics Project (AMP) of the Simons Foundation invites applications for grants to support mathematical activities in Africa, including research of faculty at African Universities, the training of graduate students, and the organization of international exchanges and conferences.
Deadline for submission of proposals is August 31, 2016 at 11:59:59 PM EST.

2. Ammsi postgraduate scholarships – 2016: applications by institution

Applications are invited for the 2016 AMMSI Postgraduate Scholarships, by Faculties, Schools, Institutes or Departments of Mathematics in universities in Africa, for support of postgraduate students of mathematics at those universities.  The deadline for applications is 30th June 2016. 3.International Max Planck Research School on Earth System Modelling (IMPRS-ESM) 

The Max Planck Institute for Meteorology (MPI-M) and the University of Hamburg(UHH) jointly run the International Max Planck Research School on Earth System Modelling (IMPRS-ESM) to promote high-quality doctoral research into the Earth’s climate system.  The School conducts research in four primary research areas:atmospherelandocean, and the human dimension.
