THE KENYA MATHEMATICS OLYMPIAD 2016 (KMO)

Top 20 student awarded a certificate by Dr H.Were, School of Mathematics, after participating in 2016 Mathematics Olympiad

Secondary school students participated in the second round Kenya Mathematics Olympiad 2016 Mathematics contest at the College of Biological and Physical Sciences. The contest churned out six best students who will represent the country in the upcoming Internaitonal Mathematic Olympiad (IMO) to be held in Hong King from 6-16th July 2016. 

Several secondary schools participated in the Kenya Mathematics Olympiad 2016 (KMO 2016) The top 6 students to represent Kenya at the International Mathematics Olympiad are listed below in order of performance:

University of Nairobi School of Mathematics lecturers organized the Mathematics challenge on March 5,2016. The four-team lead organizers included: Dr. James Katende. Dr. Jamen Were, Dr. Jared Ongaro and Ms. Carolyn Ogutu.
