The discipline of Actuarial Science is based on the evaluation of the financial, economic and business implications of future contingent events. This programme is designed to provide students with knowledge and skills required for developing models and providing solutions for financial. economic and business problems. In addition, the programme equips students with the required knowledge for professional examinations of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, Society of Actuaries, Casualty Actuarial Society  and Actuarial Society of South Africa.
