The School of Mathematics held its first virtual weekly seminar on Principal Components Analysis and its Application to Dimensionality reduction.
The School hosts seminars on a weekly basis,Faculty members and visitors come together and present on current research work. Students are highly encouraged to attend the weekly seminars to become acquainted with the current research work being done globally.
The University of Nairobi has partnered with Telkom Kenya for its e-learning programme. The partnership dubbed Soma na Telkom Bundles will ensure that students, staff and members of faculty are provided with a reliable data solution to facilitate continuity of learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The School of Mathematics and the Mathematics Association of Nairobi University (MANU) organized its first varsity contest dubbed “MANU Varsity Mathematical Olympiad” The contest being a first of its kind in the school attracted 21 contestants. The contestants were drawn from School of Mathematics, School of Physical sciences, School of Engineering and School of Economics.

The School of Mathematics, University of Nairobi has partnered with Alliance Girls High School and Makini School to host the first edition of the Kenya Primary Mathematical Olympiad. The contest was held at Alliance Girls High School.
